Our Services

An initial examination is our way of getting to know you and your mouth. We'll gather your dental and medical history, take any necessary x-rays, and do a complete inspection to look for problems such as tooth decay and gum disease. Once this preliminary assessment is complete, we'll normally direct you toward one or more of the following areas of our practice:

Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry
A lost smile is no small matter. It can profoundly affect your personal, social and professional lives. More importantly, not feeling confident about your teeth makes you feel bad. That's why good communication and mutual trust are as important to us in our cosmetic work as state-of-the-art equipment and cutting-edge dental technique. Whether it's replacing a lost tooth with a beautiful, completely natural-looking implant (we're an amalgam-free practice), or simply brightening teeth stained by smoke, food, beverages or age in a quick, comfortable manner, we'll work with you to design the smile you always wanted. You'll be feeling a newfound self-esteem when your smile is restored. Among the cosmetic and restorative services we offer are:

  • Bleaching, or Whitening
  • Porcelain Crowns & Bridges
  • Porcelain Veneers
  • Dental Implants
  • Dental Bonding
  • Resin Composite Fillings
  • Sealants
  • Biteguards
  • Dentures

Hygiene Services
Plaque, tartar, gingivitis, periodontitis, pyorrhea, periodontal disease - you've no doubt heard of some of these terms. Untreated, gum disease can have very serious consequences, leading to not only to abscesses and tooth loss, but general infections. Gum disease is the number one destroyer of teeth in adults over the age of forty. Our hygiene services, along with your own good dental habits, will give your smile a fighting chance.

Routine Prophylaxis: Preventative care is the best way to keep your teeth healthy for years and years to come. We like to get our patients on regular visits (4-6 months) to intercept problems before they take root. In cleaning your teeth, we'll find and rid your mouth of supragingival calculus that tends to grow quickly in spots missed by brushing. We also do fluoride treatments, of course, and more - all to halt gum disease before it strikes.

Periodontal Services: We also offer a full range of approaches to treat any disease present, and to care for the area immediately around each tooth. These procedures include:

  • Pocket-depth Reduction
  • Periodontal Root Planning and Scaling
  • Full Mouth Debridement
  • Periodontal Maintenance

Children's Dentistry
We know how important it is for children to get a great impression of their first experiences with the dentist. So we work very hard to make kids feel comfortable and happy. Baby teeth matter -healthy ones set the stage for enduring, beautiful adult teeth. Most adults with serious tooth loss and gum disease can trace the problems to poor childhood dental care. Children who learn to care for their teeth will be rewarded with strong, healthy teeth that last for decades. We have a variety of measures for getting our littlest patients on the right track, from the use of sealants to fluoride treatments and more.

Endodontics, or Root Canal Therapy
Nothing beats nature when it comes to teeth, and if there's any chance to save your diseased tooth, Dr. Tagliarini will do it. Not long ago, there was really only one solution for a diseased tooth: pulling it. Today, root canal treatments can often not only preserve a tooth, but help create an important foundation for other work. Root canal procedures treat the pulp, the soft core of the tooth, when it becomes diseased and cannot heal on its own (often leading to painful abscesses). Root canals involve more than one visit. First the tooth canal is cleaned and healed, then the tooth is restored. With proper care, a tooth treated with a root canal can last as long as any tooth.
